Konstanz on Lake Constance 0 open positions

Why here

We are a small team in Konstanz and we work on plants that really exist: presses, dryers, wind farms, fleets. The data that arises there is usually already available — only in seven systems, in seven formats, and nowhere together. Our work starts at that point and stops only when someone in operation reads an answer out of it.

That means two things for the work itself. You see the plant you are writing about — we drive out there, and you come along. And you stay with one thing long enough to finish it: projects here run over months, not weeks, and what gets built also gets operated.

We hire when there is work, not to have people in reserve. That is why the list below is sometimes empty — as it is today. In return, every entry that does appear there is real.

Right now every position is filled.

The register is empty because we hire when there is work, not to have people in reserve — an advert with no work behind it would stand here as scenery. When a position opens it appears here first. Until then: we read every speculative application, we answer even when we have nothing to fill, and we come back to you as soon as the right work is there.

What we need — and what we do not

What belongs in an application?
A CV and three sentences on why this position in particular. If you have built something that can be looked at, a link to it is worth more than another page of text.
Do we need a cover letter?
No. The three sentences above are the cover letter. A page of prose that nobody writes willingly and nobody enjoys reading says less about the work than one good question about the position.
Photo, date of birth, marital status?
None of them. We do not ask for them, we do not need them, and they play no part in the decision — that is the point of the AGG and, incidentally, of data minimisation too. If your CV contains them anyway, we look past them.
How does the process work?
Four steps, with no rounds in between: a response to your application within a week, a conversation of about an hour, a technical part on a task from our own everyday work (paid, if it takes longer than two hours), and then the decision. Usually three weeks from application to offer.
What happens to my documents?
They sit in a mailbox in the EU and are used solely for the procedure they relate to (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG). Six months after it closes we delete them. If you would like us to keep them longer, say so — then we will ask you again first.
